    2 ANTIQUE ADVERTISING MATCH SAFES: ABERNATHY FURNITURE & MOLASSINE CATTLE FOOD
    These match safes have celluloid wraps with advertisements.  They come from an estate sale that included a huge collection of antique match safes and holders.  Larger safe measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/2".  It is advertising Abernathy Furniture Co, Kansas City, Missouri and on the other side it reads "Little Scratchers.  For Your Matches with a drawing of five kittens.  It has some slight surface wear and the metal base is a tiny bit loose (wobbly).  The other safe measures
    2-1/4 in. x
    1-3/8
    in.
    It is advertising Molassine Horse/Cattle Food and on the other side it reads "With Compliments from M.A. Baker, M.R.C.V.Sch."  It also has some slight surface wear.  They both have good working hinges and nice tight closures.
