The 1976 poster was designed by Monterey Peninsula artist, Ed Greco, to capture the essence of the Concours, a stylish event that, at its heart, is about classic automobiles. A Packard anchors the scene, surrounded by a
Great Gatsby
-like character with sporting a field cap and holding a cigarillo, a group of judges with clipboards, a photographer, and a group of spectators.
Printed using high-quality reproduction techniques for the Robert Devlin book, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: The Art of the Poster, in 2003. Originals of this piece are almost impossible to come by, at any price.
Print is in gorgeous, near mint condition. Clean and crisp. Measures approximately 9" x 13" (23 x 33 cm). Original artwork for the piece, painted in acrylics on illustration board, measured 20" x 30".
