1981 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance poster reproduction. Promoting the 31st annual event, August 23, 1981.
Noted illustrator and artist, Jim Miller, a Carmel resident after a long Southern California career, focused this poster on a 1930 Cadillac V-16 452 Rollston Convertible Coupé owned by Zach Brinkerhoff, Jr. Rich in detail, with gleaming fenders and hood, the Cadillac dominates the poster, but below Miller included three smaller images that suggest the range of Concours entrants: an Auburn Boattail Speedster, a Bugatti Type 57, and a Ferrari TRC. Miller's signature printed in the right side of the image.
Printed using high-quality reproduction techniques for the Robert Devlin book, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: The Art of the Poster, in 2003. Originals of this piece are almost impossible to come by, at any price.
Print is in gorgeous, near mint condition. Clean and crisp. Measures approximately 9" x 13" (23 x 33 cm). Original artwork for the piece, in pen and ink with dyes on heavy watercolor paper, measures 18" x 24".
