    African Basket~ Bowl Shape~South or Western Africa~Excellent Condition
    Tight Coil Weave, no frays.  Raffia missing at 2 places on the rim. The photos pick up the original color but it is more faded than it shows. This is a beautiful basket in excellent condition.
    10" x 6" deep.
    This basket is from the collection of my former mother-in-law, Eleanor Wolters.  Eleanor had an extensive collection of artifacts--masks, scuptures, baskets--from many countries and ethnicities. She was an award-winning artist (water color) and understood the value of properly caring for artifacts and artwork.  Many of the baskets I am listing on eBay are in excellent condition because of this care. I believe she acquired this basket in the 1950s.
