Antique English Silver Plate Vesta Match Safe Book Holder Hatchetts, circa 1913!

Description

Antique English Silver Plate Vesta / Match Book Holder / Match Case.  The case has an armorial type emblem on the front which reads "Hatchetts".  Inside there is a book of matches, which are labelled as being "Jupiter I" and manufactured by Hatchetts.  The silverplate case is marked by the manufacturer "Percy Edwards Ltd, 71-72 Pickadilly W".  There is also a design registration number "619273" (which dates approx. 1913).  The silverplate case measures approx. 2" wide x 2-1/4" tall x 3/8" thick.  It will fit a matchbook which is approx. 2" square.  The matchcase is used and in good condition with some wear and tear as you'd expect given age.  Has tarnish and could use a good clean and polish.  I have noted some light wear to the silverplate finish.  There is also small pry mark on one side.  The clasp is super tight and may need some adjusting/modification on the top tabs if you actually intend on using it.  I have been leaving it open and will ship it this way.  The hinge works fine.  The matchbook inside has some wear and tear as shown.
Important Note: It is not legal in my country to ship matches.  I will be cutting the tips of the matches off for shipping.
