This was purchased in an antique shop
in Ethiopia in the 1970s,
so it was an
antique back then, have no idea of the
age,
but it was obviously used for a time.
I can see that the
lid has an interior lip
to keep the contents safe.
I did not open
the basket because I was afraid
I
would never be able to duplicate the lovely
knotting. I am happy to answer questions.
