**BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN INTO THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK ABOVE AND BELOW FOR MORE A charming little table Vesta in the form of an owl, made from solid cast brass and dating to the Victorian era, around 1880. The owl’s head is hinged to get to the matches, which would be stored within, taking one, then struck on the textured surface on the owl’s plumage. There is a small hole on the branch on which the owl sits on, after being struck, the match would have been laced into the hole to supply enough light and time to get into bed. Measures approx. 2 ¾” tall, 1 ½” wide and 1 ½” in depth.

A charming little table Vesta in the form of an owl, made from solid cast brass and dating to the Victorian era, around 1880.
