    In Hindu Mythology the Horse known as Uchchaihshravas was created during the churning of the 'Milk Ocean'. Considered the King of Horses, Uchchaihshravas was chosen as the 'Vahara' or Vehicle of Surya the 'Sun God'. The horse is also mentioned in the 'Bhagavad Gita', a Sanskrit discourse by God 'Krishna'. When 'Krishna' declares to be the source of the universe, He declares that among horses he is 'Uchchaishravas'.
