Description
You are bidding on a Antique 1920's Celluloid Advertising Promotional Match Box for Atlas Beer with Center Eagle Floating Over the World, Great Color. Little to no wear to the celluloid, great smooth, shiney finish. Back features the company it's being promoted by, it reads "Compliments of Ken Yen 4th & D.St. Colon, R.P.", they were located in Colon Free Zone, in Panama, where the company is still today. Side panel reads "You Have Tried The Rest Now Try The Best, Atlas Beer". Celluloid is complete, strong, and useable. The corners are wrapped, under a loop only, you can see tiny micro bits of loss on them, otherwise excellent celluloid throughout. There is a slight bow in shape, from time. The original paper thin wood interior box, which is paper lined, is all there, bottom of box needs to be reglued down. The back of the celluloid is also lined with a thin wood box, and that box has a tiny break on the inside top edge, and a flake off of one edge of the strike area.
