Disney artists recreated this gorgeous hand-painted cel setup from Scene 14, Sequence 2.2 of the animated classic,
Bambi
.  Bambi explores the forest with Thumper and learns his first word, "bird."  Bambi chases a butterfly, which lands on his tail, and he says
"bird."
Thumper laughs as he explains to Bambi that this is a butterfly.
A hand painted Limited edition of 500, this is cel Number 262 of 500.
This beautiful, limited edition cel was released 25 years ago by Disney and retailed for ,050.00.  It
was sold out quickly... being one of Disney's few pan background cels ever released.
Disney artists used the original production drawings and source material to recreate the cels and the corresponding Pan background.  Both were hand-inked and hand-painted by artists in the Disney Ink and Paint Department. The cel, and the Disney background have beautiful pastel colors and it's very easy to look at.  This one was nicely quadruple matted in green and white with Plexiglas.  I will carefully pack and insure this item.
