    This is a limited edition of 54 hand-painted character cel set-ups from Walt Disney's full-length feature film
    Hercules
    (1997). It is one of a series of fifteen selected limited-edition, hand-painted recreations of original artwork especially for Feature Animation employees only.
    Disney artists have recreated the artwork from
    Hercules
    using traditional animation techniques. The original animation drawings were transferred to acetate cels by a special six-step xerographic process. The cells were enhanced with hand-inked lines, then artists of the Walt Disney Studios
    Ink and Paint Department hand painted each of the cels in the edition with Disney-approved acrylic colors.
    The background scene for this cel has been faithfully reproduced from the original production background.
    This recreated cel set-up is from Sequence 11.5, Scene 68 of
    Hercules
    : After being tricked into releasing the Hydra rom her underground prison, Hercules battles for his life against the terrifying monster.

    The COA is inside a plastic envelope with an adhesive backing and a Disney seal on the flap.
    This cel is numbered 4 (lower left ) and also bears the Walt Disney Feature Animation seal in the lower right corner of the cel (see photos).
