This is a VERY RARE limited-edition Walt Disney Hand Painted Lumicel depicting
Mickey Mouse "The Early Years"
At first glance, this Lumicel appears to be a beautifully drawn Mickey Mouse animation composite with color sericel. It features Mickey in a variety of expressive and dynamic poses. But then, with the wave of the hand, Lumicel comes to life, with lighting, music and sound effects.
Lumicel's exclusive IOn feature makes all of the technology invisible. There are no buttons, speakers, or switches to distract from the beauty of the artwork. Once activated, a section of the model sheet is illuminated and an accompanying sound bite is played. Its works like magic.
It features an early color image of Mickey Mouse, surrounded by model sheet drawings from some of the films of the 1928-1939 period which show the various expressions, poses, and angles of the characters. The Lumicel enhances these model images with lights and sounds.
Original Certificate of Authenticity in envelope affixed to the back side.
This piece has no moving parts so therefore no maintenance is required. Four C cell batteries are required (not included).
Limited to only 1500 in the edition! This one is #1114/500.
Professionally framed and matted directly from Disney in a black mica with ultra clear Plexiglas the piece measures 24" x 26".
The cel itself which measures 15" x 16"  is in perfect condition and comes with the matching background.
The frame and plexi-glass does show signs of wear as you can see in the photos.
