    Description

Rare limited edition of 9500 copies produced world-wide. Book cover is genuine bonded tooled leather with 22 karat gold leaf print. Serigraphs (reproduction animation cels) are certified. Beautiful edition created for the 50th anniversary of the classic 1937 film, containing the entire story, beautifully typeset, hundreds of color illustrations, concept art, and character sketches by the original animators.
Sadly, sericels are often removed from these books, framed, and sold individually for 0.00 or more. All cels are intact within this book exactly as manufactured. Please see photo collages showing the cel only, background only, and then the "composite" (cel layered over background). None of the photos in this listing are stock photos - they were all photos taken of the actual book listed here for sale. Because there is only space allotted for 12 photos on an Ebay listing, I was unable to add all of the photos I captured. Please feel free to message me if you are interested and I will be happy to provide additional photos.
Serigraphs were produced in 23 colors by Chicago Serigraphic Inc. and the book was bound by A. Horowitz & Son, New Jersey. Slipcase is covered in dyed elephant hide made by Brick & Ballerstein, Long Island, NY. This book is in mint condition, considering it was purchased 34 years ago. It has been stored in it's slipcase in a temperature-controlled smoke-free environment. No tears, marks, or other defects. The back side of the red slipcase is very slightly faded on one end and the bottom of the slipcase shows very minor wear (see photos). Otherwise, this collector's piece is in perfect condition!
