    Description

Original WWII US Department Of Agriculture Homefront Basic Seven Poster USDA
In 1943, during World War II, the USDA introduced a nutrition guide promoting the "Basic 7" food groups to help maintain nutritional standards under wartime food rationing. The USDA produced several different poster promoting the “Basic 7” and these were distributed to groups like the Red Cross canteens.
    Approximately 14” x 22”
Exceptional condition. This was part of a packet full of promotional material that had been distributed to Red Cross canteen service during WWII. It certainly appears that the first time it had been removed and unfolded was when I took these pictures. Fold lines present but the poster is very crisp with vivid colors and no visible damage.
Great candidate for linen backing and framing!
