Rare Antique Match Holder Striker Valise Carpet Bag Non-Magnetic Silver & Brass?

We are pleased to offer for this listing a very unusual antique match holder striker. We haven't seen one like it. It is in the form of a valise or carpet bag opened to hold matches and has strikers on the ends and on one side. We think the material is silver plate over brass, but there is no mark to indicate what it is. It is non-magnetic. It will polish, but we didn't, except on the bottom to see if it would polish up. It did with little effort, but we like the look of it the way it is. The detail is pretty amazing with the vertical stripes and the wrinkles. There is a mark under one handle that looks like a circle with a letter inside it. There are no flaws and no damage. This is an interesting piece and not a common one. Measurements are: 2 ¼” tall x 2 ¼” w. x 1 1/8” d.
