    RARE ANTIQUE MATCH SAFE VESTA, MADE TO ADVERTISE BOLLINGER CHAMPAGNE USING CORK.
    This match safe comes from an estate sale that included a huge collection of rare antique match safes and holders.  Research finds it is dated c1914.  The inside of the lid is marked Bollinger and the lip is marked Pipifox Match Box.  The outside of the lid is grooved as a striker.  It has silver plated mounts. There is an accent string on bottom of cork.  This is original to the match safe as we found another in our research with the exact same accent.  The lid hinge is in good condition and holds shut nice and tight.  The outside of the cork has some wear and marks but is overall in good condition.  Good quality cork that has passed the test of time!  Very unique find to add to your match safe collection.
