Description
x9317: A beautifully cast bronze figurine of the avian-like being Garuda. Kneeling on one knee in deep devotion with the hands clasped together in anjali mudra in front of the chest. Adorned with various jewellery, wearing a long flowing Dhoti running from the wast to the flat circular base. The eyes and forehead with a recess that would have housed precious or semi-precious stone inlay lost in antiquity. Heavily oxidised patina with ancient ancient loss to the left wing, in overall great condition.Origin:
