Estate Fresh, Authentic, Bakelite carved WWII Patriotic Sweetheart Brooch in Ultra Rare U.S. Army Air Corps Aviator Wing pattern. So rare, in fact, I could not find another record of one being sold in the past decade. We've handled many of these WWII Bakelite Carved Military/Victory Brooches over the years, but this one is exceptionally difficult to find in any condition. It being a patriotic/homefront wing you'd expect a male aviator to be pictured in the photo, but instead it's a female - perhaps a WASP, but without a name I suppose we'll never know for sure. Either way, it is guaranteed to be original, and in very good condition as shown. Overall, this piece would grade an 9.5 out of 10, and would make an excellent addition to any serious bakelite / sweetheart /patriotic brooch collection.
