Decorated both front and back with an elaborate repousse or raised pattern of a graceful nude surrounded by a very detailed pattern or scrolls, this sterling match safe or vesta is a real stunner!  It's bottom surface is ribbed to be used as a striker and there is an attached bail so this could be worn on a chain or chatelaine. The size is not only perfect for matches, but can hold a day's pills or other small treasures. This wonderful piece measures just over 2 1/2" high x 1 1/4" at narrowest width and is marked 925 for 925/1000 purity.
