Authentic signed Ron Dias hand-drawing sketch of Disney’s Ariel, The Little Mermaid with Flounder. This one is very rare. I have yet to find another one like it anywhere. He didn’t want to give us two of the same so he drew us this one as well. I have the other sketch of her face only on sale also. Please check it out.
My wife and I met Disney illustrator Ron Dias in person at a Disneyland special event where he sketched and signed two original pieces of art for us in 1993. It was amazing to watch him do it! Measuring  11” tall x 8 ½ " wide, the drawing is in fine condition with no edge wear or discoloration on the paper.
Background: Hired in 1956, for over 40 years illustrator and animator Ron Dias worked with the Disney Company, illustrating both characters and backgrounds in numerous movies. From 1992 - 2000, while working at Disney Art Editions, he became Art Director and Color Stylist for Disney's "Little Mermaid" TV Special and series.
Known for his work on such memorable Walt Disney films as “Sleeping Beauty” and “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” among many others, Dias' contributions to animation also include time spent at studios such as Warner Bros, Sullivan-Bluth, and Hanna Barbera.
He passed in 2013 in Monterey CA.
