This handsome out-of-print art book presents the full story of the making of Walt Disney's first animated feature
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
(1937). It was published in conjunction with the 1994 exhibition of
Snow White
original production art from the collection of Stephen Ison held at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. This collection is now part of the holdings of the Walt Disney Animation Research Library.
The book is illustrated throughout in full color with reproductions of master backgrounds, animation cels and drawings, concept and story art, and more. The text covers the genesis and making of the movie, its influence, and a thorough look at the forms of art that went into its production.
