    Description

    The Lion King -
Pumbaa - One (1) Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1994).
    "They call me Mister Pig!"
    In the earliest versions of
    The Lion King
, Pumbaa and Timon were children residing in the Pride Lands that grew up with Simba. It was decided that the two would be changed to outcasts; this gave Simba someone to turn to after his exile. When Simba found himself lost and alone in the desert, the ever-selfless Pumbaa was quick to rescue the lion cub, and raise him as a son, alongside Timon.
This is a superb rough animation drawing of the lovable and flatulent pig. Rough drawings are almost always done first in the process. The animator will create the roughs to test timing and get a feel of the weight and form of the character. The rough is rendered in blue pencil on 12 field animation paper. Artwork from The Lion King is getting increasingly rare. This artwork is actual working production art and thus show some edge wear from normal handling and use.
