Disney & The Little Mermaid fans, you are bidding on a 12.375 x 10.375” original The Little Mermaid art Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder by renowned Disney animator, Philo Barnhart. Philo Barnhart is known for his work on The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and The Beast (1991), The Secret of NIMH (1982) and The Black Cauldron (1985).
He was kind enough to donate this original piece directly to Zombie Leader’s Comic Art for LLS & Lustgarten (CALL) Auction at the recent Northeast Comic Con, Marlborough, MA. (Notes: The piece is “as is.” The lower right corner has a crease that does not affect the art. The photos of Philo Barnhart holding the piece and the Lustgarten banner are not included but rather to show provenance.)
Proceeds from this auction will benefit Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Thank you for your support in eradicating pancreatic cancer.
About the Artist:
From the Hanna Barbera Godzilla series, animation and illustration artist for Disney Studio and many other studios and publishing firms. Known for his work on feature-length films, Philo has worked on fan favorites The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, as well as special effects for Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He was an animator on the Hanna Barbera Godzilla series in the late 70s.
