An antique English sterling silver match safe / vesta case, reading 'James MacLean the Turf Accountant with Twenty Telephones' to one side; and 'James MacLean Telegrams Spotless Glascow' to the other.
Unusual and very collectible!
CONDITION
: All original, with signs of wear & denting commensurate with age and use. small split to inner lip - see pics. Needs a spring.
DATE/MARKS
: Hallmarked for Birmingham 1912. Makers marks FHALD .
DIMENSIONS
: 58 x 37 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
