For your consideration I am pleased to offer this vintage, French tobacciana ceramic advertising match strike / match holder. This classical counter top match holder would have been found in a cafe or bar during the 1940's/50's with free matches being supplied to the patrons. A "Strike Anywhere" match (not included) could be struck against the ridges along the side to ignite the match. It can also be used for toothpicks or a candle if you choose. Cassis Quenot was a aniseed liquor popular in France at this time. Measures approx. 4" Tall with a 3 1/2" Diameter base and weighs 1 lb.
