Offering this unusual match safe that is marked for the British Empire, with the Coat of Arms embossed on the top lid.
Fine stitching suggests a quality manufacturer's hand in producing this piece. Damage shows what is likely to be a burn caused by a lit cigarette or cigar was allowed to scar the emblem. Accident or purposeful? It shows a connection to human hands.
Condition is fair.
