Vintage JE MERGOTT // NEW JERSEY...Brass Match Safe holder with necklace loop. This piece looks like something was bonded on the front of this case but has been gone quite awhile. It is a bit rough looking the the mfg stamp is clear.  Looks like this can be on a chain necklace for convenience.
If you have a love of these Match Safe holders. I am sure this can be shined up and made presentable.
