Description
In these times, I could use some little pills for headaches and nerve pain. Camille Bayard & René Cerbelaud were developers of medical elixirs, medicinal wines, all kinds of pharmaceutical products to cure all ills at the turn of the 20th
century. This little tin box, a little less than 2 inches by a little more than 1 ½ inches, contained pink pyroquinine pills for when you had a bad headache and/or other nerve pain. I have no idea what ‘pyroquinine’ actually was although quinine is/was used to treat malaria. This tin box contained 6 pills and you were to take one pill 15 minutes before a meal or one hour after. On one side end of the box which was made to like a book, it states “No more migraines, no more nerve pain”. On the ‘pages’ end of the book is the striker. After using the pills to cure your ailments, you were left with a match holder. The simple lid on an unseen hinge stays open when opened and snaps shut. This match holder is in good condition only as a good bit of paint has rubbed off although you can still read all information printed on the pill box. Postage will be around depending where this match holder is going. I do not charge for packing or handling, so PLEASE wait for an exact invoice before paying. Thank you for your interest and your bid.
