Vintage Japanese Brass Hawk Birds Full Moon Grape Vines Match Striker Vesta

This large antique Japanese brass match holder measures 2 5/8 inches tall, 1 ½ inches wide and weighs ¾ of an ounce .  On both sides is a hawk of some kind sitting among grape vines under a full moon being watched very carefully by two small birds circling above him.  Their nest must be nearby.  There is a well-used striker on the bottom and although a tension bar is in place, the lid does not snap shut and needs to be pushed shut into place as the metal is misshapen. This match holder has obviously seen a lot of use but I think it is still a beautiful one.
