    The Liquid/Air System works by transferring the charge air heat (created by compressing the air in the turbo charger) to a liquid coolant. The advantage of this system is that instead of needing to route 2 1/4" hose to the front of the car and then back again, the barrel intercooler can be mounted directly inline, eliminating numerous bends and long hose runs, minimizing resistance (pressure drop) and cost. The air flows directly through the intercooler, preventing pressure drop caused by the air flow changing direction, which results in superior airflow and higher charge air pressures.You can also optimally position your heat exchanger (Liquid/Air Systems radiator) in the best cooling air stream, regardless of the location of the engine or associated space restrictions.
