    ANTIQUE MATCH HOLDER
    Interesting and unusual antique hand painted and molded bisque Palmer Cox Brownie figure measuring 2" tall by 6-1/4" long.  Designed to hold matches in the open stylized tree trunk he is leaning against, figure has long, skinny legs with large feet, and appears to wear some type of kilt.  Condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage - there is paint fading, rubbing and wear, with typical imperfections to the bisque from made and age.  He is unmarked as to maker, but I'm guessing Germany in origin.  Whimsical and humorous, he would be a charming addition to any Palmer Cox Brownie collection or toothpick figural display!
