    Description

    Harkening back to World War II, this match box is labeled, "The British War Relief Society." The outer box is made of brass and is coated with enamel, in a cream color, with red and blue. The inner box is very thin wood with brown, glued paper holding the sides to the bottom piece.
    A crest with a lion in the center, and the words, "Dieu et Mon Droit" is displayed on one side of the box. The other side has red, cream, and blue bands with "British War Relief Society" printed on them in brass lettering. One of the two, narrower sides has the match-striking material on it, while the opposing side is brass with raised letters reading: "THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND".
    Measurements are: length: 1 11/16 inches; width: 1 1/16 inches; height: 1/2 inch.
    This match box is in great, vintage condition. Some loss to the insert box
