    Description

    This military pillow cover is 17” x 17” plus fringe with the U S Army and emblems as the focal point. The symbols and wording are in felt and this one shows some fading but still very readable. The tribute is to Sister. The background is a light brown and the fringe is gold and dark blue. I see only a small amount of staining and normal creasing from storage.
    Through WW2 the war department chose Fort Snelling as the location for the military intelligence service language school to teach the Japanese language to Army personnel. The school processed 300,000 soldiers. In 1960 this fort was listed as a National Historic Landmark
