Original World War Two Gold Mother's Star Pin. An Act of Congress in 1947 provided a Gold Star to be awarded to mothers who lost a son/daughter during the Second World War in combat. Even today with an other Act of Congress in 1966 such a Star may be obtained for any family member killed in action. This Star has the Congress 1947 date stamped on the reverse side of the pin. This is a part of history and no veteran or military collector should not have as it represents what was given to maintain our Freedom. The flag does not come with the star. Will not ship internationally.
